Discover the beauty and complexity of orchids in Drawing Orchids in Black and White, a multi-week botanical illustration course held June 9–July 14 at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Led by artist Carol Sutherland, this course teaches students how to simplify intricate orchid forms using black-and-white media.

Designed for artists with prior drawing experience, the class provides a strong foundation for advanced colored pencil studies and is part of the Garden’s Botanical Drawing Program. Participants will build observation and rendering skills while creating elegant botanical artwork inspired by one of nature’s most captivating flowers.
